ProSet Fire-Rated Drains

ProSet provides a complete line of Government spec fire-rated drains. These drains can connect to plastic or cast iron pipe through above-ground floors or ground-floor concrete slabs. ProSet also has a low-profile drain which will connect to plastic in a metal deck or in a wood floor. Photographs of the drains, with drawings (which show the Trap Guard^® installed) are shown, below.

All of these fire-rated drains are suitable for use with ProSet's Trap Guard^® Drain System for flexibility in the use and placement of drains.

Plastic Pipe Underground
Connecting the floor drain to plastic pipe through a ground floor concrete slab. The drain has a 3" PVC plastic hub for a direct plastic pipe connection

Cast Iron Underground
Connecting the floor drain to cast iron pipe through a ground floor concrete slab. The fire-rated drains have a 3" no hub mechanical joint for cast iron connections.

Plastic Pipe Aboveground
Connecting the floor drain to plastic pipe in above ground concrete floors. The drain stub has a built-in intumescent wrap strip for fire protection.

Cast Iron Aboveground
Connecting the floor drain to cast iron pipe in above ground concrete floors. The drain has a 3" liner pipe solvent cemented into the bottom socket connected to a cast iron P-Trap

Plastic in Metal Deck
Connecting the floor drain to plastic pipe through a corrugated concrete slab. The drain has a 4-1/2" diameter metal extension with built-in intumescent wrap strip for a 3" plastic pipe connection.

Plastic through Cored Hole
Connecting the floor drain through a 4-1/2" diameter cored hole through existing or pre-cast concrete. The drain will set 3/4" above the concrete floor. It can be cut into the floor or additional concrete can be poured.
